Amazing
Hibino is a refreshing change from your regular Japanese restaurants. They have a rotating special board which is usually awesome and very unique. Sushi is always really good, and so is everything else there. If you are one of those people that is not really into sushi and always order a california roll or something similar, this place probably isn't for you.

Real deal
I love Hibino. It's my favorite sushi place in the neighborhood. It's just that one notch above your everyday corner take out sushi place. Definitely worth the price.

For two years I've endured the endless glowing reviews slung my way, and tonight I finally got my ass to Hibino. The reviews were 100% accurate; the place kills. Delicious, fresh, great service, distinguished by thoughtful and stylish presentation. Good looking, friendly servers, too. Bonus! A real breath of fresh air. So, yeah. Go.

Yumm!
The food here is excellent. If your looking for your "not everyday japanese" this is best place. The atmosphere is relaxing, and people there are very friendly. You see crowds of all ages and there is something for everybody. A little pricey, but is well worth your money!

Fresh
I have eaten here many times, and I am always surprised at how fresh and pure everything tasted. It is unusual to find a snow pea or an asparagus spear remarkable, but this place cooks the most exquisite vegetables. I have had almost everything on the menu, and everything is good. The flavor combinations are so instinctive, so wise, so memorable, I often find myself lost in contemplation. The chef treats the ingredients deferentially, and when the purity and richness of the ingredients takes center stage, it's heaven. Hibino is not flashy, but it IS the most rewarding, most thought-provoking home-style meal in Brooklyn. It is best to go early in the evening when the kitchen staff is at their best and they have not run out of specials.
